GERMii Australia is pleased to announce that its patented UV-C technology that inactivates the RNA and DNA of COVID-19 and all known pathogens has now been approved for use in Singapore by The National Environment Agency of Singapore (NEA).
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, October 21, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ — “Based on the information provided, the GERMii UV-C for Whiz complies with NEA’s safety guidelines and is safe enough to prevent any accidental overexposure to the UVC radiation.”
“This is another excellent milestone for the company, and we now have a clear path forward to accelerate planned deployments into some of Singapore’s key government and commercial customer sites”, Mr Harold Van Haltren, CEO and Founder of GERMii said today.
GERMii’s UV-C technology is now available in Singapore as well as the Asia Pacific Region, to be utilised with the world-leading AI autonomous floor vacuum-cleaning robot, Whiz by SoftBank Robotics.
Mr Van Haltren went on to say “We’re immensely pleased to finally be able to commence shipping GERMii air and floor systems to current Whiz robots in service around the region, and to customers about to deploy Whiz.
This really does change everything, combining UV-C sterilisation with autonomous cleaning into one unit. Customers no longer have to choose between purchasing autonomous cleaning robots or open bare lamp, often dangerous UV-C robots.
Deploying Whiz with UV-C now frees cleaning staff up to use GERMii Sabre handhelds to sterilise surfaces in the building chemical free, faster and without excessive chemical costs.
Customers are telling us they want to hit CO2 emissions and landfill targets quickly, so we’re pleased to be playing a big part in that.
This is a significant outcome for Whiz customers. GERMii UV-C for Whiz, the latest product offering conceptualized by GERMii Australia and SoftBank Robotics Singapore, is a 2-in-1 floor cleaning robot powered with UV-C disinfection capability and adheres to Singapore’s stringent safety requirements.
Not only is Whiz fully autonomous using AI and machine learning to conduct cleaning routes daily, but it will also now automatically sterilise both the air and floor against pathogens such as COVID-19 as well as mould and bacteria.
We see tremendous advantages for all industries, in particular airports, resorts, convention centres, government and corporate offices to name just a few.
People want to embrace technology that keeps them safer, but they’re also looking for chemical-free applications which has seen demand for GERMii’s products increase dramatically recently, especially outside of Australia.”
GERMii UV-C for Whiz is available for immediate order in Singapore and in the region for planned and in-service Whiz units. Current Whiz robots in service are also able to be upgraded with the GERMii UV-C attachments, to tackle COVID-19.
Information on the product can be found via GERMii’s website here.
