Newly constructed restaurant occupies 1.24-acre parcel acquired in transaction brokered by Ackerman Retail’s Stephen Lapierre
ATLANTA, GA, August 20, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ — A new Wendy’s restaurant is now open in McDonough, Ga., located on a 1.24-acre parcel acquired in a transaction Ackerman Retail brokered earlier this year. The newly constructed restaurant at 1169 Highway 20 is owned and operated by Meritage Hospitality Group, the nation’s largest active Wendy’s franchisee.
The restaurant benefits from an excellent location off Interstate 75, offering high visibility along a stretch of interstate traveled by 200,000-plus vehicles daily. Ackerman Retail Vice President Stephen Lapierre brokered the acquisition of the land on behalf of Meritage Hospitality Group.

As Meritage Hospitality’s broker in North Georgia, Stephen Lapierre and his partner, Wyatt Whitaker, currently have several other potential locations in the pipeline for upcoming development of new Wendy’s restaurants. Meritage Hospitality plans to develop 40 new Wendy’s restaurants by the end of 2024, representing an investment of approximately $100 million.
