Event to Include 5K and 1 Mile Routes
FORT WORTH, TX, August 16, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — Texas Radiotherapy, a leading radiation oncology practice in Fort Worth, Texas, is hosting the ZERO® Prostate Cancer 5k and 1 mile Run/Walk in Fort Worth at 8 a.m. on October 28, 2023.
The run/walk benefits prostate cancer research and patient support programs through the non-profit ZERO Prostate Cancer.
Dr. Matthew Cavey, founder and lead radiation oncologist of Texas Radiotherapy, stated, “Our team looks forward to hosting the ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk. Prostate cancer affects more men than most of us realize. One in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. In the DFW area, that means that almost 750,000 men will receive a prostate cancer diagnosis.”
Dr. Cavey added, “The run/walk will be a great, outdoor activity to connect patients, families, friends and caregivers. As well, I will be on-hand to talk to patients and caregivers, and there will be PSA tests available free-of-charge for men over 45. PSA tests are critical in the early detection of prostate cancer.”
The ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk location is Trinity Park: 826 Trinity Park Drive, Fort Worth, Texas, 76107 (near shelter house 1). More information can be found at https://texasradiotherapy.com/zero-out-prostate-cancer/.
