MVL envisions the mainnet launch will serve as the foundation of our services into a unified network, unlocking powerful synergies across the MVL ecosystem.
SINGAPORE, April 09, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ — MVL, a pioneer in blockchain-based mobility innovation, officially launched its mainnet on April 9, marking a major milestone.
Founded in 2018, MVL set out to build a value-sharing mobility ecosystem where drivers, riders, and service providers all benefit fairly through blockchain technology.
The newly launched MVL mainnet is built on Base Appchains, a dedicated Layer 3 app-specific rollup developed by the Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP).
A key advantage of Base Appchains is the provision of independent blockspace for each Appchain. This means MVL operates on its own sovereign network without competing for resources or facing performance bottlenecks. MVL secures full control over its network’s fee structure and infrastructure, while benefiting from Base’s secure, high-performance Layer 2 foundation.
Thanks to Base Appchains, MVL is now able to achieve high scalability, with fast speeds, low costs, near-instant withdrawals, and robust infrastructure management.
MVL Mainnet: Road to Mass Adoption
Since 2018, MVL has been operating ‘TADA’, a zero commission ride hailing service. Unlike traditional platforms that take high fees, TADA charges no commission from drivers.
Today, TADA is the second leading ride-hailing platform in Singapore, with operations in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Hong Kong. Furthermore, MVL recently announced its expansion to the U.S. region through a partnership with Drivers Cooperative Colorado (DCC). Through this partnership, MVL and DCC will introduce a zero-commission ride sharing service to the US market within this year thanks to TADA’s technology and operational expertise.
With the launch of its own mainnet, MVL is now able to bring TADA’s real-world infrastructure on-chain. This integration, known as DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network), enhances data transparency and sharing, challenging the “platform takes all” model by shifting value and control back to users such as drivers and riders.
By running on its own mainnet, MVL avoids the congestion of shared networks. This is crucial given the daily transaction volume TADA generates. With custom gas models and faster processing, the mainnet ensures scalability and cost-efficiency as TADA continues its global rollout.
The Future of Mobility with DeFi
Besides TADA, MVL launched ‘Musubi’ in January 2025. Musubi is a digitized vehicle finance platform that connects ride-hailing drivers with investors.
Musubi digitizes various vehicle-related rights, opening access to investment opportunities in vehicle leasing operations.
With the MVL mainnet, all vehicle data and ownership records are securely stored on-chain, providing investors with real-time access to key information such as vehicle location, battery status, and ride-hailing performance metrics. Operating on a dedicated chain reduces costs and allows Musubi to customize transaction logic.
MVL’s CEO Kay Woo stated, “MVL will continue to drive innovation in the mobility sector through blockchain. With Musubi, we plan to collaborate with various partners in the mobility industry to onboard a wider range of vehicles, taking the digitized vehicle financing business to the next level. At the same time, TADA will continue expanding across other regions, growing our DePIN network throughout the U.S.”
He also added, “The mainnet will serve as the foundation that connects all of our services into a unified network, unlocking powerful synergies across the MVL ecosystem.”
About MVL
MVL, a pioneering blockchain mobility company, was established in 2018 with a mission to transform the mobility sector through blockchain technology. In the same year, MVL launched TADA, a ride-hailing platform in Singapore, featuring a zero-commission policy and incentives. This groundbreaking model has propelled TADA to become the second-largest ride-hailing option in Singapore, with successful expansions into Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
Recently, MVL partnered with Drivers Cooperative Colorado and is about to launch Fair, Zero-Commission Ride-Hailing in the U.S. so that it can foster a decentralized, driver-first mobility network globally.
